AGAIN: ANALYSTS ARE BROUGHT INTO A GREAT GTA 6 RELEASE TIME

JUST talking about the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 may make your ears thrill. It is a game that has not even been officially announced, though that has not stopped the speculation about its existence for several years. Based on a recent financial report from publisher Take-Two Interactive, analysts predict that GTA 6 may finally be launched in the next few years. But why are critics so confident? 

REPORT TWO-TWO SHOWS IN GTA 6 RELEASE STORY

GTA 6 has not yet been released, but it is likely to be launched in 2024 or early 2025.

On January 10, 2022, Take-Two announced plans to buy Zynga mobile game publisher $ 12.7 billion. As part of that report, the company also revealed that it expects to consolidate annual revenue growth to 14 percent by 2024. Clearly, Take-Two expects to earn more money in the next two years or so.

According to a commentary from Jeffery, as submitted by Axios, there are not many games that can generate a significant increase in revenue.

There are only a few degrees that can ... give managers confidence to produce such a strong direction; we believe there is at least one Rockstar IP set to be released by FY24.

In essence, GTA V sold 32 million copies in 2013 alone, according to the Independent, and continued to reach more than 155 million copies sold since November 2021, as reported by GameSpot. In short, GTA is a huge franchise.

Axios also spoke to analyst Doug Creutz of Cowen, who estimates that the 14 percent estimate is equivalent to $ 9 billion, which is in line with the larger GTA 6 release.

As Axios notes, this would not be the first time Take-Two has been referred to the release of its next GTA match as part of the financial report. In 2011, the company predicted significant growth between 2012 and 2013. The GTA V was released in September 2013, although it was originally scheduled to be very fast.

In this regard, Creutz told Axios "there is an example of putting a Rockstar game in numbers before it is officially created (and you make a mistake)."

Significantly, Take-Two expects this 14 percent increase regardless of where Zynga is located. Take-Two "showed a significant increase in FY24 - and said that apart from including 'income synergies,'" said Stephen Totilo of Axios.

THIS ISSUE ISSUE INCLUDES ANCIENT PREDICTIONS

Even before the Take-Two report, analysts, industry insiders, and journalists predicted that GTA 6 would be launched in 2024.

In 2021, in-house Tom Henderson - who has a good record in the video game scene - said, "I can openly bet anyone who claims to have 'inside information' $ 1000 that [GTA 6] will release 2024-2025."

Jason Schreier of Bloomberg confirmed Henderson's remarks, saying, "Everything Tom Henderson said about the game is in line with what I have heard."

Rockstar Games used to be a company that released projects regularly. Between 1999 and 2006, it was not uncommon for Rockstar to develop or publish a few games each year. However, since 2008, that number has dropped, and with the launch of GTA V in 2013, the company has put most of its eggs in a few baskets: Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar may have other projects in the works, but considering what publisher Take-Two expects to earn by 2024, it is safe to assume that this is the GTA 6 release window currently targeted.

Assuming it launches in 2024, we can expect to hear about it on Rockstar in 2023, if history is any indication. Rockstar Games usually launches the trailer for the announcement of its next GTA game the year before its release, so we think it will remain unchanged going forward.
